Hotel Details
Modern design hotels may be moving into Paris, but Hotel Relais Saint-Jacques is decidedly in the opposite camp. This is, in many ways, what one expects from a Parisian hotel — comfort, traditional style, and enough antique furnishings to start an auction house. This Hausmann-style building, near the Jardin du Luxembourg and the Sorbonne, is all meticulously preserved history, from its Louis XV lounge and library to its handsome guest rooms, all four-posters and lush fabrics.
The hotel Relais Saint-Jacques is tucked away into the winding streets and alleyways of the Latin Quarter, on the Left Bank — and the relative calm of the location, along a particularly scenic tree-lined drive, lends a certain time-machine air to the hotel. Rooms on the front of the hotel overlook this street, with just a fleeting glimpse of the Pantheon through the foliage, and back rooms are quieter, facing onto a courtyard. Many on both sides have balconies, and all are individually decorated. |

Near the hotel
The Relais Saint-Jacques, situated near the heart of the Latin Quarter and a few steps away from the Luxembourg gardens as well as the Pantheon and the Royal Chapel of Val de Grâce (the world famous military hospital of Paris) offers you a chance to stroll around Saint-Germain-des-Prés, Montparnasse or the Ile de la Cité.
